Lodgify Alternatives for UK Glamping Sites

Seven ways to move on from Lodgify, and how to do it without losing bookings or reviews.

By Rory Murphy8 min read

You’re on Lodgify, and something isn’t working. Maybe the site looks like everyone else’s, maybe the software is more than three pods need, or maybe the bill has grown. The good news is that moving on doesn’t mean starting again.

The best Lodgify alternative depends on what’s wrong. If the website is the problem, you can keep Lodgify’s booking engine and put a custom site on top. If the software is the problem, Smoobu, Hospitable, Hostaway, Uplisting, eviivo and Guesty are the names that come up most. Whichever you choose, your reviews stay on Airbnb, Booking.com and Google, and a careful switch protects your bookings.

Why owners look for Lodgify alternatives

Most glamping owners leave for one of three reasons. These are the website, the cost, or a tool that does more or less than they need. Nobody’s doing anything wrong here. A tool that suits ten cottages doesn’t always suit a farm with three pods.

The website reason is the one we hear most. Lodgify sites are built from set templates, so they can look much like other sites using the same tool. For glamping that matters, because guests choose partly on how a place feels. Photos, setting and story are the product.

The cost reason is simple. If you take a handful of bookings a month, a full property management system can be more tool than you use.

Fix the website or fix the software first

Split the job in two. The software handles your calendar, payments and channel connections. The website is what guests see and what Google reads. You can change one without touching the other.

If this is your problem You probably need
The site looks generic or is slow on phones A new website, keeping your booking tools
Calendar, payments or messaging feel clunky Different software
Both A planned move, one piece at a time

Changing only the website is the smaller, safer job. Your calendar keeps syncing, your payments keep working and you don’t retrain yourself on new software in the middle of a season.

The shortlist at a glance

Here are seven options, with Canopy & Stars, Airbnb, Booking.com and CoolStays all still sitting alongside whichever you pick. Each provider publishes its own prices, and they depend on how many units you run, so price your own set-up on their pricing pages rather than comparing headline figures.

Option Type Suits
Custom site on Lodgify’s booking engine New website, same booking tools Owners happy with Lodgify’s software but not the site
Smoobu Channel manager and booking tool Small portfolios
Hospitable Automation and direct booking Owners short on time
Hostaway Full property management system Growing portfolios
Uplisting Property management system Owners focused on direct bookings
eviivo Property management for B&Bs and hotels Sites run like small hotels
Guesty Property management for larger portfolios Managers of many units

Who each option suits

1. A custom website on Lodgify’s booking engine

This keeps the parts of Lodgify that work and replaces the part guests judge you on. Your calendar, payments and channel connections stay where they are. You get a site designed around your huts, pods or yurts.

It’s the best fit if you’re comfortable with Lodgify’s software and the website is what lets you down. It also means no migration of bookings at all. We cover how this works on our Lodgify integration page.

One thing worth knowing. Guests who find you on Airbnb or a directory often search for your own site afterwards, hoping for a better deal or because they know you keep more of the money. A site that looks the part is what they land on.

Millie the Hut’s booking page puts an availability calendar, a short enquiry form and a seasonal rate card on one page. The site brought 42 direct bookings in its first year, saving the owners over £3,000 in commission.

2. Smoobu

Smoobu is a channel manager and booking tool aimed at smaller hosts. It connects your calendars across channels and gives you a booking page or widget. It suits owners of a few units who want a simpler tool and plan to build their website separately.

3. Hospitable

Hospitable is known for automating guest messages and routine tasks, and it offers a direct booking site. It suits owners who run things alone and lose hours to repeat questions about directions, check-in and parking.

4. Hostaway

Hostaway is a full property management system with a channel manager, a booking engine and a long list of integrations. It suits owners who are growing, taking on more units or working with cleaners and teams. For two or three pods it may be more than you need.

5. Uplisting

Uplisting describes itself as a Lodgify alternative with commission-free bookings and strong customer support. It suits owners who want direct bookings at the centre of how they work.

6. eviivo

eviivo is a UK-based system aimed at B&Bs, inns and hotels. It suits glamping sites that run like a small hotel, with a reception, set check-in times and rooms rather than a handful of self-contained units.

7. Guesty

Guesty is built for property managers with larger portfolios. If you manage many properties or other people’s units, it belongs on the list. A single-site glamping owner will rarely need it.

How to switch without losing bookings or reviews

A staged switch keeps your calendar safe and your site live throughout. Don’t cancel anything until the replacement is working.

  1. List what Lodgify does for you now. Write down your channels, payment set-up, automated emails and any rules for minimum stays.
  2. Export your data. Download guest details and booking history for your own records before you change anything.
  3. Set up the new tool alongside the old one. Connect your channels and check dates appear correctly on a test booking.
  4. Match your rates. Copy across seasonal prices, midweek and weekend rates, minimum stays and any extras.
  5. Keep your web address. If your domain stays the same, Google and past guests still find you.
  6. Redirect old pages. If page addresses change, point each old one to its new equivalent so you keep your search visibility.
  7. Switch in the quiet season. October to March is the easiest window, with fewer arrivals to worry about.
  8. Cancel last. Once a few real bookings have gone through the new set-up, close the old account.

Using this to choose

Start with the website question. If your booking tools do the job, a new site on top costs less effort than a full move. If the software is the issue, choose by how many units you run and how much time you have. Smoobu and Hospitable fit a few units. Hostaway and Guesty fit growth.

Before you decide, run this short check on each option.

Plans from £19 a month accurate as of October 2026.

FAQs

What is the best Lodgify alternative for a small glamping site?

It depends on what isn’t working. If the booking tools are fine but the website isn’t, keep the booking engine and replace the site. If the software is the problem, Smoobu and Hospitable are worth a look for a few units. Hostaway and Guesty are built for bigger portfolios, and eviivo suits sites that run like a small hotel.

Will I lose my reviews if I leave Lodgify?

Reviews on Airbnb, Booking.com, CoolStays, Canopy & Stars and Google stay where they are, because they belong to those platforms and not to Lodgify. If you show guest quotes on your Lodgify website, copy them into your new site before you cancel, and keep your listings live while you switch.

Can I keep my calendar synced with Airbnb and Booking.com after switching?

Yes, as long as the new tool or site supports the channels you use. Check this before you commit. Our sites sync availability calendars with Airbnb, Booking.com, Canopy & Stars, CoolStays and others, so a booking taken on one place blocks the dates on the rest.

Can I use Lodgify’s booking engine on a site that Lodgify didn’t build?

Lodgify’s booking engine can be embedded on a separate website, which is how a custom design can sit on top of the tools you already use. That keeps your calendar, payments and channel connections where they are, and only replaces the pages guests see.
