Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about websites for glamping sites and holiday lets. If yours isn’t here, just ask.

Working together.

Is this just for glamping sites?

Shepherd’s huts, yurts, cabins and treehouses are very much at home here. But I’m happy to work with any holiday home, from a single cottage to a small collection of stays.

Can you help me move away from Wix?

Yes. I can build a custom site around your place and help plan the move from your existing site. We’ll look at what’s worth keeping, what needs improving and how to handle your existing page addresses. You won’t need to build the replacement yourself.

Do I need to stop using Canopy & Stars or Airbnb?

No. Your own website can sit alongside the platforms that already work for you. It gives returning guests and people who discover you elsewhere a place to learn more and enquire or book directly.

What does the monthly price cover?

All three plans include a custom website, copywriting, SEO foundations and ongoing basic updates. The £39 plan adds booking-system integration. The £59 plan also includes ongoing SEO, five blog posts a month and general technical maintenance. Plans have a minimum term of one year.

Can you connect my existing booking system?

Booking-system integration is included in the £39 and £59 plans. Tell me which system you use and I’ll check what’s possible before we start. Any separate booking-provider subscription or transaction fees will be discussed with you.

What if I don’t have the words ready?

That’s fine. Copywriting is part of the service. Tell me about your place, your guests and the details you’re proud of, and I’ll help turn that into warm, useful website copy.

Can I ask for changes after the site goes live?

Of course. Ongoing basic updates are included in every plan. We’ll agree what you need before we start, and if a request is a bigger piece of work, I’ll explain that before taking it on.

Bookings and calendars.

Can guests book and pay on my website?

Yes, on the £39 and £59 plans. Your booking system is embedded in the site, including online payments, so guests book without leaving it.

Will my calendar stay in step with Airbnb and Booking.com?

Availability calendars can sync with Airbnb, Booking.com, Canopy & Stars, CoolStays and others, so your website shows the same availability as your listings.

I don’t have a booking system yet. Do I need one?

Not always. A clear availability calendar and a short enquiry form can be enough to start. Millie the Hut’s booking page pairs the two with a seasonal rate card. We’ll work out what suits the way you run your place.

Timings and costs.

How long does a website take to build?

A website on the £19 plan is usually live within a few days to a week. A more bespoke build with booking integration on the £39 plan takes up to about two weeks.

Can I pay upfront instead of monthly?

Yes. I can design and build your website for an upfront fee and hand over the finished code. We agree the scope and price together before we start.

Is there a free website audit?

Yes. Send me your website and I’ll tell you, for free, what’s stopping it getting bookings.

Getting found.

Is SEO included?

SEO foundations come with every plan. The £59 plan adds ongoing SEO, five blog posts a month and general technical maintenance.

Will my website show up in ChatGPT and AI search?

AI assistants lean on the same things search engines do, such as clear facts about your place, structured data, reviews and mentions on other sites. Every website is built with clear facts and structured data from the start.
